Reflections in a Golden Eye

Major Weldon Penderton (Marlon Brando) is a stiff, resentful officer on an Army post in 1940s Georgia, married to Leonora (Elizabeth Taylor), who does as she likes. John Huston sets the Pendertons beside the Langdons, Morris (Brian Keith) and Alison (Julie Harris), and lets the secrets accumulate behind each closed door. At the center is a marriage where husband and wife barely look at each other, and each is watched by someone else.
