“Fear always finds its victim.”

In Minnesota in 1990, a young woman named Angela Gray (Emma Watson) accuses her father of a crime, and he admits his guilt without any memory of committing it. Detective Bruce Kenner (Ethan Hawke) brings in the psychologist Kenneth Raines (David Thewlis) to help the man recover what he did. Alejandro Amenábar sets the case moving, and each recovered memory drags Kenner toward a nationwide conspiracy far larger than one family.
