Reinventing Marvin

Marvin Bijou (Finnegan Oldfield) leaves the village where his classmates and his own family have spent years punishing him for being too sensitive and too feminine. A drama teacher, Madeleine Clément (Catherine Mouchet), has shown him a way out, and Anne Fontaine builds the film from the true story behind it. The boy Marvin (Jules Porier) stays in the frame as Oldfield's older Marvin moves through a bare room.
