“An Alternate History”

In Malakkappara, a hill station in Kerala, Circle Inspector Vivek Gopinath (Asif Ali) takes charge of a police station after a suspension for gambling online while on duty. A man named Rajendran has died by suicide, and his confession points to a crime from forty years back, near the set of Bharathan's Kathodu Kathoram. Jofin T. Chacko builds the case from a faceless victim, and the film is about how long a killing stays buried when no one will say it aloud.
