Remember

“Dark truths will come to light.”

Zev Guttman (Christopher Plummer) wakes in a nursing home each morning and has to be told again that his wife has died. He is carrying a hand-written letter from a fellow Auschwitz survivor, which sends him across the country in search of the man who killed their families. Atom Egoyan sets a failing memory against a task that depends on remembering, and Zev holds on to what happened long after he has lost the day.
