“Some loves are never forgotten”

Carlo Ristuccia (Fabrizio Bentivoglio) wants more than his middle-class Italian life, and meeting Alessia (Monica Bellucci), an old flame, makes the wanting hard to ignore. At home his wife Giulia (Laura Morante), a onetime actress, auditions for a play, while their son Paolo (Silvio Muccino) tries to make friends through drugs. Gabriele Muccino follows the four of them through the same days, each one reaching for what the others cannot see.
