Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins

A Brooklyn cop named Sam Makin is hauled out of his life, declared dead, and handed a new face and the name Remo Williams (Fred Ward) by a secret government outfit called CURE. His training falls to Chiun (Joel Grey), an elderly Korean martial arts master who treats his student with a flat, impassive scorn. Guy Hamilton builds the film on the two of them, the sour old teacher and the stubborn cop he has to turn into a killer.
