“No day but today.”

The East Village in the years of the AIDS epidemic is where Mark Cohen (Anthony Rapp), a filmmaker, and Roger Davis (Adam Pascal), a songwriter, share a cold loft they can't pay for. Chris Columbus adapts Jonathan Larson's stage musical, built on Puccini's opera La bohème, and fills the loft with friends: Mimi Marquez (Rosario Dawson), Tom Collins (Jesse L. Martin). Mark holds his camera up to all of it, trying to get the people he loves on film.
