Rent-a-Cop

“Deadlier than Dirty Harry, faster than Cobra”

Tony Church (Burt Reynolds) wants his badge back, but a drug sting that ended with a masked killer shooting people in front of him leaves him forced off the force and walking a store floor as a rent-a-cop. The only person who saw the killer's face is Della Roberts (Liza Minnelli), a prostitute, so Church has to bring her in. Jerry London sets the pair against a nightlife underworld, and Church pushes on, a cop with no badge and one case he won't drop.
