Requiem for a Vampire

“Two young girls... trapped... with no escape! Forced to submit to the Horrors of the Pit!”

In the French countryside in 1972, two girls on the run lose their way and end up at a haunted chateau. Marie (Marie-Pierre Castel) and Michelle (Mireille Dargent) find it occupied by an ailing vampire and the servants who tend him. Jean Rollin lets the film drift at the pace of a dream, with long silences, little dialogue, and the countryside left to do much of the work.
