“Paradise is about to get complicated.”

Erica (Christina Milian) is an aspiring pop singer whose career has just fallen apart, so she reluctantly takes a gig performing at a luxury island resort. The booking turns out to be a wedding, and the groom is her ex-fiancé Jason (Jay Pharoah). Steven K. Tsuchida keeps it bright and easy, and underneath it sits a plain question of whether a person can sing at the life she lost and still start her own.
