Retribution

“The ghosts of the past always come back.”

Detective Noboru Yoshioka (Koji Yakusho) is called to a string of murders in the same part of town, each carried out the same way. He works the cases alongside his colleague Harue Nimura (Manami Konishi), while the evidence slowly turns toward him and a woman in red keeps appearing in his path. Kiyoshi Kurosawa gives Noboru and Harue a quiet working trust, and that trust is what the film puts under strain.
