“The legacy begins ...”

In pre-WWI Paris, the puppeteer Andre Toulon (Greg Sestero) lives a quiet life building and working his marionettes. Then he meets Afzel (Jack Donner), a renegade sorcerer who has stolen the secrets of life from the dark god Sutekh, and Andre learns what it takes to make a puppet move on its own. David DeCoteau directs it as a low-budget prequel, with Guy Rolfe returning as the older Toulon.
