Return of the Hero

In 1809, Captain Neuville (Jean Dujardin) is called to the front and leaves his fiancée Pauline (Noémie Merlant) heartbroken. Her sister Elisabeth (Mélanie Laurent) sits down and starts writing letters in his name, hoping to lift Pauline's spirits. Laurent Tirard sets it in a household where the letters keep coming, and the longer Elisabeth writes, the more she has to answer for.
