Return of the Prodigal Son

Ibrahim (Hesham Selim) comes back to his rural home after twelve years in Cairo, hoping to be taken in as the son he used to be. His family and the town had counted on him to succeed, and they learn he spent those years in prison. Youssef Chahine sets the homecoming among his relatives, with songs, and every one of them has a stake in who Ibrahim turns out to be.
