“Whose fault is it if life doesn't go your way?”

Alex (Johannes Krisch), an ex-con, works as muscle in a Vienna brothel, where his girlfriend Tamara (Irina Potapenko) also works. They want out, and they settle on a bank robbery as the way to leave together. Götz Spielmann follows their plan into the countryside and toward a police officer and his marriage, and what holds the film together is the love between Alex and Tamara.
