Revenge

“The defence of one’s honour can drive a man insane!”

Nobody can say quite why a passing remark during a weapon inspection cuts so deep into the low-ranking samurai Shinpachi Ezaki (Kinnosuke Nakamura). The words turn into an argument with his superior, then a duel that ends in a death and drags the whole clan into political trouble. Tadashi Imai follows Shinpachi as the authorities call him unstable, and he starts to give them reason.
