Revolution

(1985)Directed by Hugh Hudson126 minAdventure, Drama, History, War
“The war that won a nation its freedom, a woman her destiny, a young man his independence, and a father his son's love.”

Tom Dobb (Al Pacino), a New York trapper with no stake in the war, loses his son Ned the day the boy is drafted into the army by Sergeant Major Peasy (Donald Sutherland). Tom goes looking for him and finds himself beside Daisy McConnahay (Nastassja Kinski), an aristocrat who has already thrown in with the rebels. Hugh Hudson stages the Revolution on a huge canvas, pushing his camera through crowds, smoke and marching columns.
