Revolutionary Girl Utena: The Movie

“Alone, we have the power to revolutionize the world.”

Utena Tenjou (Tomoko Kawakami) arrives at Ohtori Academy wanting to become a prince herself, and she is pulled almost at once into duels fought over her classmate Anthy Himemiya (Yuriko Fuchizaki). Kunihiko Ikuhara retells his own television series as a stranger, more compressed film, with a childhood friend, Touga Kiryuu, who seems to know what the duels are for. The longer Utena fights for Anthy, the more the two of them stop being prize and champion.
