“The last battle between crime and the law in every major city in the world.”

A man's wife disappears, and the price of getting her back is the release of a notorious prisoner. Vito Cipriani (Oliver Reed) is a prison official, so he has the power to open the cell, and he does. Sergio Sollima follows him as he pulls Milo Ruiz (Fabio Testi) out into the open, with a gang hunting them both and his wife's life hanging on every move he makes.
