Ride Like a Girl

“Never give up”

The Paynes are a big Australian racing family, and Michelle (Teresa Palmer) grows up wanting to ride in the Melbourne Cup, the one race the sport's men have kept for themselves. Her father Paddy (Sam Neill), a horse trainer raising ten children, sees what she can do, while Rachel Griffiths, directing her first feature, keeps the family's crowded kitchen close. Michelle has to get past the jockeys who won't take her seriously, and the Cup is the only prize she wants.
