Hinako Mukaizumi (Rina Kawaei) has just moved to a small seaside town, a college student who spends as much time on a surfboard as she can. When a fire breaks out in her apartment building, a firefighter named Minato Hinageshi (Ryota Katayose) carries her out, and the two begin to fall in love. Masaaki Yuasa follows them through their first months together, with the sea always close by.
