Riff-Raff

A London building site in 1991, where the men work under false names so the dole office and the immigration men will never match a face to a file. Stevie (Robert Carlyle), just out of prison in Scotland, takes a job there and is steered toward a squat on a council estate. The men on the site get paid little, work in poor conditions, and have no one to complain to, because complaining means giving a real name.
