“...Means Trouble!”

Tony le Stéphanois (Jean Servais) comes out of a five-year sentence, turns down the smash-and-grab his friend Jo (Carl Möhner) offers, then learns his old girlfriend now belongs to the gangster Pierre Grutter. He takes the job and enlarges it into a full burglary of a jewelry shop on the Rue de la Paix, with César (Jules Dassin) among the crew. Jules Dassin gives them a clean start, but what they do afterward puts every one of their lives at risk.
