“The Nordic legend that inspired J.R.R. Tolkien to write the Lord of the Ring trilogy.”

In a kingdom of swords and sorcery, two kings murder a prince's father, and the blacksmith Eyvind hides the infant Siegfried before anyone can finish the job. Years later a fiery meteor, sent by the gods, shows Siegfried (Benno Fürmann) what he was born for. Uli Edel sends him after the dragon Fafnir, and if he fails, the crumbling kingdom falls and the woman he loves is lost with it.
