Ringing Bell

Chirin (Akira Kamiya) is a young lamb who spends his days on a farm, wandering a little farther from his mother each time, until a wolf comes and she is gone. Masami Hata, adapting the picture book by Takashi Yanase, follows the lamb out of the pen and up into the mountains, where he goes looking for that wolf. What he carries up there is his mother's bell, small and bright, ringing with every step he takes.
