Rio Bravo

“They fought back to back... No quarter given... No quarter asked... No way in... No way out... of Rio Bravo!”

Sheriff John T. Chance (John Wayne) is a Texas lawman who arrests the brother of a powerful local rancher for murder, then has to keep him locked up until a U.S. marshal can arrive. His only help is Dude (Dean Martin), a drunk, Stumpy (Walter Brennan), a lame old man, and Colorado Ryan (Ricky Nelson), a young gunfighter. Howard Hawks shot it on location at Old Tucson Studios, in Eastmancolor, and mostly leaves the camera in the jailhouse with the men.
