Inside Folsom State Prison, the inmates hold a protest over the conditions they live in, and it does not stay peaceful for long. James V. Dunn (Neville Brand) speaks for the prisoners while Warden Reynolds (Emile Meyer) and Commissioner Haskell (Frank Faylen) are pressed to answer. Don Siegel filmed it on location at Folsom, and the real walls and bars surround every face.
