Ripley Under Ground

Tom Ripley (Barry Pepper) lives quietly on a French estate, paid for by his past crimes and his marriage to the heiress Heloise (Jacinda Barrett). He also backs a scheme selling forged paintings by an artist named Derwatt, who is supposed to be alive, until an American collector decides his canvas is fake and demands answers. Roger Spottiswoode adapts Patricia Highsmith's novel as a story about a man who keeps protecting an easy life by adding another lie.
