Rise of the Footsoldier

“Based on the shocking true story.”

Carlton Leach (Ricci Harnett) is one of the most feared generals on the football terraces, a man who runs on the violence of match days. That reputation draws him into a crew of criminals around Tony Tucker (Terry Stone) and Pat Tate (Craig Fairbrass), who tear through London and Essex in the late '80s and early '90s. Julian Gilbey, working from Leach's own account, shows a man who is moving up fast and risking everything he has to keep going.
