“Gay Beginnings of the End of the World.”

An air hostess (Maria Pia Schiaffino) fends off a pushy suitor with the careless manner a distant boyfriend suggests, and that is only the first of four short films. Godard sends an atomic blast over a city, Pasolini follows an extra who has to hang on a cross while a religious picture is shot. The last thing in view is Stracci (Mario Cipriani) up on the cross, a half-eaten plate of ricotta somewhere behind him.
