The Road to Salina

Jonas (Robert Walker Jr.) is a young drifter on foot along the road to Salina, Mexico, with nowhere in particular to be. He stops at a desolate roadside service station, where its owner, Mara (Rita Hayworth), looks at him and calls him Rocky, the son who vanished four years ago. Georges Lautner shot it in English in the Canary Islands, and Jonas lets the mistake stand, pitying her, sharing the place with Warren (Ed Begley) and Billie (Mimsy Farmer).
