Roald Dahl's Matilda the Musical

“Meet the exception to the rules.”

In a school where the headmistress hurls children by their pigtails, Matilda Wormwood (Alisha Weir) arrives as a small girl whose own parents barely notice her. Her only ally is the gentle teacher Miss Honey (Lashana Lynch), and her gifts are about to mark her out for the attention of the dreaded Miss Trunchbull (Emma Thompson). Matthew Warchus brings Tim Minchin's stage songs to the screen with big choreographed numbers and a storybook look.
