Roald Dahl's The Witches

“Witches are real!”

In late 1967, an orphaned boy (Jahzir Bruno) moves in with his grandmother (Octavia Spencer) in Demopolis, Alabama. After a run-in with witches who look glamorous and are not, she takes him to a seaside resort, where the Grand High Witch (Anne Hathaway) has called her own kind together. Zemeckis keeps the boy at the center, small and watchful, with only his grandma between him and the whole coven.
