Roberta
“Jerome Kern's Queen of Musical Romances!”
John Kent (Randolph Scott), a football player with no plans beyond the next stop, tags along to Paris with Huck Haines (Fred Astaire) and his band, only to watch their engagement vanish at once. His aunt owns the fashion house Roberta, which her assistant Stephanie (Irene Dunne) runs, and William A. Seiter lets the band loose among its gowns. When the business lands in John's hands, he and Stephanie become partners, and they have to learn each other's ways.
