Robin and Marian

“Love is the greatest adventure of all.”

Why has Robin Hood come home so tired, and why does Maid Marian no longer wait for him? Robin (Sean Connery) comes back from years of fighting in the Crusades, gray and worn, to a Sherwood that has gone quiet and to the woman he left behind, Lady Marian (Audrey Hepburn). Richard Lester shoots the Spanish countryside in plain daylight and lets the outlaws look their age.
