“Meet Robin Hood and his MERRY MENagerie!”

With King Richard away at the Crusades, Prince John (Peter Ustinov), a lion in a borrowed crown, and his hissing snake adviser Sir Hiss tax Nottingham's animal villagers down to their last coin. Robin Hood (Brian Bedford), a fox, and Little John (Phil Harris), a bear, take what the tax collectors take and hand it back to the poor. Wolfgang Reitherman's film is plainly about ordinary people refusing to let a greedy ruler keep what is theirs.
