“Rise and rise again, until lambs become lions”

Robin Longstride (Russell Crowe), a common archer, only wants to carry a dying knight's sword home to Nottingham, as he promised. Once there, he takes the dead man's name and finds himself living beside the widow, Marion (Cate Blanchett), while Godfrey (Mark Strong) works for King John. Ridley Scott films the muddy villages and the cavalry charges with the same weight, so the battles feel as heavy as the quiet.
