Robin of Loxley (Taron Egerton) returns from the Crusades bent on bleeding the Sheriff of Nottingham (Ben Mendelsohn) dry. A mysterious man named Yahya (Jamie Foxx) recruits him and teaches him the craft of theft, turning Robin into a weapon against corruption. Bathurst builds the film like a heist engine, all kinetic momentum and close calls, until Robin discovers the cost of his own crusade.
