Robin Hood (Cary Elwes) comes home from the Crusades to find King Richard in exile and Prince John (Richard Lewis) on the throne, backed by the Sheriff of Rottingham (Roger Rees). Robin gathers a band of fellow patriots, Ahchoo (Dave Chappelle) among them. Mel Brooks spoofs the older Robin Hood films, and what stands to be lost is England itself, left to a crown that was never John's to wear.
