Commander Christopher Draper (Paul Mantee) is stranded on Mars with a woolly monkey named Mona, and he has to find oxygen, water and food before either runs out. Byron Haskin retells Defoe's Robinson Crusoe as science fiction, with Victor Lundin and Adam West in the cast. He shot it in Technicolor and Techniscope, so the lifeless planet shows up in wide, sun-bleached color.
