Robot Carnival

“Nine Animators. One Vision.”

A traveling carnival of machines opens the film, and nine separate shorts follow, each drawn in its own style with only the robots tying them together. Atsuko Fukushima and Hiroyuki Kitazume bring in a different animator for each story, with voices from Kumiko Takizawa and Katsue Miwa among the cast. Every short is a few minutes long, so each one has to make its single idea count before the screen changes again.
