Rock the Kasbah

“Opportunity rocks where you least expect it.”

In Kabul, a few years after the American invasion, Richie Lanz (Bill Murray) is a talent manager whose career has run dry, and he takes a USO tour of Afghanistan because nothing else is on offer. Surrounded by Bombay Brian (Bruce Willis), his armed protection, and Merci (Kate Hudson), he hears a young girl's voice he never expected to find there. Barry Levinson plays it as a comedy and keeps Murray's rumpled, unbothered charm at the center of every scene.
