Rocketship X-M

“The screen's first story of man's conquest of space!”

Five astronauts lift off in Rocketship X-M, headed for the moon, with Colonel Floyd Graham (Lloyd Bridges) in command and Dr. Lisa Van Horn (Osa Massen) among the crew. A malfunction and a miscalculation of the fuel send them somewhere else entirely, to Mars. Kurt Neumann's film, shot in black and white, finds the ruins of a once powerful civilization there and says plainly that an atomic war did it.
