Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone) has spent three years as heavyweight champion until Clubber Lang (Mr. T) knocks him out in the first round. Stripped of his title and his confidence, Rocky turns to Apollo Creed (Carl Weathers), the fighter who nearly killed him years before, to teach him how to fight mean again. What he learns is that hunger, not technique, is what separates the great from the merely good.
