“BOUNCE, ROCK, SKATE, ROLL”

All Xavier "X" (Shad Moss) wants out of the summer of 1978 is his old rink, the one where he and his friends Junior (Brandon T. Jackson), Boo and Naps have skated for years. When it shuts down, the whole crew has to roll across Chicago to a different rink, with new faces and new rules waiting. Malcolm D. Lee fills the floor with disco lights and 70s funk, and lets the skating feel like a party.
