Pedro (Wagner Moura), a stage actor, wants a love as large as the one he plays every night in a remake of the play Tristan and Isolde. Then he falls for his co-star Ana (Letícia Sabatella), and Guel Arraes cuts between the doomed lovers on stage and the two people playing them. Pedro and Ana try to give their own story the intensity of the fiction, and nothing in the facts says it can bear that weight.
