Romeo + Juliet

“My only love sprung from my only hate.”

Romeo (Leonardo DiCaprio) wants someone to love him the way the poems say it can happen, and then he sees Juliet (Claire Danes) across a crowded room and decides it already has. Their families, the Montagues and the Capulets, have carried the old feud into the sweltering suburb of Verona Beach, and the two of them marry in secret. Baz Luhrmann sets Shakespeare's original lines against a modern city and keeps the language exactly as written.
