Romulus, My Father

Romulus (Eric Bana) is a Yugoslav immigrant raising his young son Raimond (Kodi Smit-McPhee) in rural Victoria, in a house shaped by hard work and little money. Richard Roxburgh, directing his first film from Raimond Gaita's memoir, keeps close to the family as Christina (Franka Potente) becomes unwell and the household strains around her. Romulus holds to one fixed purpose, to bring up his boy with whatever he has left.
