When the cast comes off his broken arm, twelve-year-old Henry Rowengartner (Thomas Ian Nicholas) finds he can throw a fastball at 100 miles an hour, and the Chicago Cubs sign him as their new pitcher. Daniel Stern directs the first days in the clubhouse, where a kid still in school gets handed a locker next to grown men. Henry's closest tie there is Chet Steadman (Gary Busey), the veteran who has to catch him.
